Commencement Checklist

“To-do” list for parents

  • In March: Make your lodging reservations. If you are unfamiliar with the area and would like to know where you can stay for the weekend or grab a bite to eat, check out a listing of local bed and breakfasts, hotels, motels, restaurants, and campgrounds. With the high volume of area visitors during Commencement weekend, we recommend that you make your lodging reservations two months in advance.
  • By Friday, May 13: Seating and parking are available for guests with disabilities (including wheelchairs). For guests who require special seating accommodations, contact Melanie Ryan at 607-587-4506. Anyone needing a handicapped permit for the day may then be transferred to University Police or may contact Interim Chief of Police Matt Heller directly at 607-587-3999 Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
