The talk falls on Yom Hashoah, or Holocaust Remembrance Day. According to the U.S. Holocaust Museum’s website, www.ushmm.org, the internationally recognized date for Holocaust Remembrance Day corresponds to the 27th day of Nisan on the Hebrew calendar and marks the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.

Refreshments will be served after the talk, which is jointly sponsored by Alfred State and Hillel at Alfred, the Jewish students’ organization at Alfred State and Alfred University.
