Some 270 high school students from 13 local and regional school systems participated in the 22nd annual Agricultural Skills Day held at Alfred State College in October.  Students from Alfred-Almond; Cassadaga Valley; CG May (Mt. Morris); Cuba-Rushford; Fillmore; Genesee Valley; Hewes Educational Center (Erie CCB); Letchworth; LoGuidice Educational Center (Fredonia); Olean BOCES; Pine Valley; Prattsburg; and Randolph participated in one of five different skills competitions.

Alfred State College, in conjunction with Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, is participating in the Humphrey Fellowship program, which brings to the United States accomplished mid-level professionals from designated countries that have a wide range of development needs.

Unseasonably mild autumn weather allowed Alfred State College Building Trades students to complete work on "the arbor project," a beautification initiative located next to the Administration Building on the School of Applied Technology campus in Wellsville.

Alfred State College (ASC) has joined forces with Genesee Community College, Batavia, (GCC); Cornell Cooperative Extension of Wyoming County, Warsaw, (CCE); and Quality Milk Production Services, Geneseo, (QMPS) to establish the Wyoming County Dairy Institute.

Taste of WellsvilleStudents enrolled in the programs at Alfred State College's School of Applied Technology and local eateries once again dazzled visitors to the Wellsville Campus during its second annual "Taste of Wellsville" event which was conducted as part of the College's Centennial Celebration.

Bell Tower DedicationAlfred State College faculty, staff, students, and alumni spent an unseasonably warm afternoon on campus earlier this month to celebrate the dedication of the college's Alumni Plaza and the rededication of the newly renovated Walter C. Hinkle/Robert Couse Bell Tower.

The Culinary Arts Department, School of Applied Technology, Alfred State College, will hold a spaghetti dinner in the Culinary Arts Building on the Wellsville campus, Thursday, Oct. 18, from 5-7 p.m.  Cost of the dinner is $11 per person (tax included); cost for children 10 and under is $5.
