Healthy Choices

If students are interested in learning more about their likelihood of having substance use disorder, Health and Wellness provides an education-based program that teaches students to learn how to make responsible decisions about alcohol and drug use. Using the SASSI (Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory) Assessment and online educational programs by Third Millennium Classroom, students can learn more about their likelihood of having a substance use disorder. From there, they meet with one of the counselors from Health and Wellness Services for further discussion regarding their substance use and decision making. Though most students enter Healthy Choices when they receive disciplinary action for their drug and alcohol use, it is also an optional program that students can enter if they feel they would benefit from the program.
