The CARE Team is a group of students with various backgrounds and a shared desire to help those in need. All of the students on the CARE Team have received the appropriate training necessary for providing a variety of functions.
- CARE Team members operate the Peer Support Line on campus, taking calls seven nights a week from 7:30 - 11:30 p.m., providing free and confidential support to students in distress.
- CARE Team members are also available to act as walking escorts for students who do not feel safe walking alone on the Alfred campus.
- Additionally, CARE Team members provide driving transports for students who are in need of transportation to and from medical facilities in the area for non-emergency situations.
The CARE Team works closely with Residential Life, Health & Wellness Services, and University Police. Call 607-587-4200 to learn more.
