Elaine Morsman (Connectedness, Positivity, Achiever, Adaptability, Empathy) loves life and her job as Director of Career Development at Alfred State – “helping students connect to the awesome opportunities that await them is the best job!” After completing her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in psychology from St. Bonaventure University, Elaine worked in the mental health field for a few years until finding her real passion in the career/employment field. After working for the Allegany County Employment & Training Center for 11 years, Elaine was hired at Alfred State and has been connected to Career Development ever since. Over the past few years, Elaine found that she really has an obsession with social media and was even called “the poster child for social media” by a consultant. Other interests include fitness, learning, cooking, baking, hiking, traveling, and enjoying the beautiful area that we live in, including wine country right in our backyard. Elaine is the proud mom of an Alfred State civil engineering technology grad and one soon to be (he is a senior this year also in civil engineering technology) and is married to an Alfred State (electrical & construction maintenance tech) grad! Elaine also has two stepdaughters.
