military friendly logoWith enhancements to the Post 9/11 GI Bill, such as a monthly housing allowance and a books and supplies stipend, veterans will find college expenses more affordable. Veterans' Lounge

The veterans' lounge in Brown Hall room 201 offers a refrigerator, microwave, three computers, a printer, lounge furniture, table and chairs.

Veterans' Center

Located in the Student Leadership Center (around the corner from Ever Green Cafe), the Center will house ROTC staff. Representatives of the Veterans Administration, NYS Veterans Counselors, and local county veterans counselors will also be available periodically to help you.

No Parking Fees For Veterans

Student veterans may be exempt from parking fees. To be exempt, a written request must be submitted to the Student Records and Financial Services Office or University Police with proof of honorable discharge or proof that the veteran was released under honorable circumstances. The veteran’s DD214 or current military ID are acceptable forms of proof.

Veterans’ dependents and friends of Alfred State who support veterans are also welcome to join as well as family members of those who are in active duty. We want to meet you and hear your story.
