Culinary Arts Annual Scholarship

Award amounts:
Range from $500-$1,500 scholarship to new students annually. 

Eligibility:
Available to students who are new to the culinary arts and culinary arts: baking, production & management curriculums at Alfred State and enrolled in the fall semester. Scholarship funding is limited, and meeting qualifications is not a guarantee of an award.

Application requirements:
Electronically submit application below along with an essay about the student’s commitment to the culinary/baking industry. Letters of recommendation are strongly encouraged, but not required. Please submit the additional information to Deb Burch, Department Chair, at BurchDA@alfredstate.edu.

Application timetable:

  1. Submissions must be received no later than April 30 each year.
  2. Notification will be made by US Mail no later than May 31.

Selection process:
Submissions will be reviewed by individual faculty members for recommendations.

Payment details:
Half of the award will be paid in the fall semester and half in the spring. Students must maintain a 2.75 GPA for spring credit.
