Associated with the college since 1979, Dr. Clark has served in a variety of teaching and administrative capacities, including professor and chair of the Civil Engineering Technology Department, interim vice president for Academic Affairs, and dean and executive director of the School of Applied Technology in Wellsville.

An Elmira native, Dr. Cokely is returning to her New York roots by accepting this leadership role in Alfred. She earned a BA in sociology at Russell Sage College in Troy, then an MA and PhD also in sociology at Syracuse University. Cokely’s professional career started at Meredith College in Raleigh, NC as an assistant professor and she has earned multiple promotions over 15 years of service at Curry College, a private liberal arts school seven miles from downtown Boston, where she currently serves as associate provost.

Angela Koskoff is originally from Middletown, CT and attended Bryant University where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration. She obtained her Master of Education from the University of Maine taking additional courses in Disability Studies. She worked professionally at institutions across the country in Student Affairs and Residential Life.

Dr. Steven Mauro joined Alfred State as the College’s 13th president on March 28, 2022. 

Before joining the Alfred State family, Dr. Steven Mauro served as vice president for Strategy and Campus Operations at Gannon University. Prior to that, he served as dean of Health Professions and Sciences, interim provost, and vice president for Academic Administration.

Directing strategic communications, marketing, and understanding audiences is at the heart of Russ Nunley’s career. He has a unique perspective and insights to propel marketing and surpass communication goals.

Whether working as a local TV anchor, handling marketing and PR for the world’s largest movie theatre group, or now as Chief Marketing Officer at SUNY Alfred State College, adjunct faculty, and Public Information Officer, he strives to create messages that resonate with audiences and to use communication for information sharing, leadership, persuasion, and inspiration.

Peavey is the recipient of the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Professional Excellence (2013-14). He holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of Massachusetts and a Master of Science in Education (MSEd) from St. Bonaventure University.

Peavey resides in Wellsville with his wife, Emily, and is the parent of three children.

Sammons holds an Ed.D in Organizational Leadership from Northeastern University, a Master of Justice Administration degree from Norwich University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Houghton College, and an Associate in Applied Science degree in criminal justice from Finger Lakes Community College. In 2012, Sammons was awarded the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service.

Danielle White became the interim executive director of Institutional Advancement in December 2014. She had previously served as the director of Annual Giving since December 2009, overseeing annual fundraising campaigns including the college’s Phonathon.

Dr. John C. Williams began his duties as dean of the School of Architecture, Management, and Engineering Technology (SAMET) in spring 2010. Prior to this role, he was associate professor and department chair, Mechanical Engineering Technology Department.

Williams was recently elected chair of the Engineering Technology Division (ETD) of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE).
