forensic science technology program at Alfred State College recently hosted an
open house to acquaint colleagues and others with the tools and techniques used
in this burgeoning field. The event included an extensive display which
featured a crime scene and the various tools and methods applied to "solve the
crime." A blood spatter demonstration was performed and a drawing for 10
"brains" was held. Winners included Dawn Pedersen, Joseph Damrath,
Caitlyn Jurek, Zach Woolridge, John Buckwalter, Annie Constantine, Hannah Dunn,
Deb Mayes, Michael Cobb, and Kathryn Link. Faculty and students in the
program were available for questions. More than 60 people attended.
