New four-year agriculture program coming to Alfred State in fall 2019

A total of 54 students from three schools competed against each other in one of the nation’s most prestigious showcases of career and technical aptitude. Schools competing this year included State University of New York (SUNY) College of Technology at Alfred, SUNY Delhi, and the Culinary Institute of America.

Skills tests ranged from criminal justice to TV/video production to public speaking. Alfred State faculty, staff, and students were heavily involved in the design, implementation, and judging of many of the contests. Many of the high school students were exposed to a college campus for the first time.
