Alfred State awarded $150,000 Garman Family Foundation grant for HVAC program

Provost Dr. Kristin Poppo said, “Alfred State is incredibly thankful for the Garman Foundation’s ongoing support of our students and our trades programs. This grant will allow us to renovate the space that housed our carpentry lab into a state-of-the-art, senior HVAC laboratory that will serve 40 students, thereby doubling our capacity for students.”

Police Academy graduates 13, achieves 100 percent employment rate

The Alfred State Police Academy is proud to announce that 13 recruits have graduated from the 2020 session. This year’s academy yielded a 100 percent employment rate, meaning that all of the graduates were hired by police departments.
