Chemistry faculty member discovers interesting properties of metal surfaces

While working with theoretical computations, Physical and Life Sciences Assistant Professor Scott Simpson noticed that copper interacted with an organic molecule called p-benzoquinonemonoimine in a different way compared to some other metals. This led to a hypothesis that copper actually strengthens the bonds of the molecule.

AAS in medical sonography now offered

Forensic science technology program now fully accredited

The forensic science technology program has recently obtained full accreditation status from the Forensic Science Education Programs Accreditation Commission (FEPAC), becoming one of only 20 FEPAC-accredited bachelor-level programs within the field nationwide.

New two-year radiologic technology program available

The program prepares qualified students to become health care professionals who administer ionizing radiation (X-rays) to produce photographic and digital anatomical images for diagnostic, therapeutic, and research applications. Students will complete both didactic classes on campus and clinical rotations at area hospitals.
